Does making something easier sometimes make us do more of it?
If something becomes much quicker or easier, do we always save time — or do we sometimes just do much more of it?
Some things look as though they might be useful before we know exactly what the useful part is.
This is where we work on them.
We collect examples, look for times when the idea doesn’t work and ask: Is there something here that people could actually use?
If something becomes much quicker or easier, do we always save time — or do we sometimes just do much more of it?
Sometimes making a decision easier still leaves us making the same decision again and again.
“Keep going” is often good advice. But not always.
